Hope is Greater in the Darkness (Come be the Light)

The pain in the darkness makes me believe in hope.

How can it be that I can feel this wrenching in my soul and still feel the light emanating out of me?

I was so afraid of the dark, not knowing light cannot be extinguished.

The darkness doesn’t diminish or expose your fatal weaknesses.

It is an ominous cloud.

It is crashing and engulfing waves of grief.

But it is only temporary.

Not so the light.

The light cannot be covered or hidden.

The light still dazzles, in day and the night.

Darkness is at the mercy of light.

In reflections of glistening water, a smile, another day.

The waves change course and now whisper,

“Come this way, it is safer here.”
